Hi,
I seem to remember if the landy has Air brake conversion it can tow 5Ton.
just remember if being used for comercial purposes anything with a combined weight of 3.5 tons you need a Tachograph.

The 'coupled brakes' spec was 4 tons for D1's but dropped on the D2 etc. That spec was dropped some time back but appears in D1 handbooks IIRC.

Tacho required if you are OVER 3.5 tonnes gross train weight and running commercially, private motoring is excluded.

Agree, and I think 90/110 and Def. were specced to tow 4 tonnes with coupled brakes. No idea about the later vehicles though.
Never even considered it myself, seems a lot of trouble for 500kg.
