LR introduced diesel because no one in their right mind would want a 60's gas guzzling liner slipping V8.

Total silence apart from at idle or acceleration, none of that annoying V8 missfire sound so called rumble:p:p

No missfire on my V8? Runs like a swiss watch:D
Total silence on idle (unless you go round the back end), a nice distant thrum on cruising & a very nice 'toned down TVR type growl' when booted. :D

No unecessary engine or exhaust noise on mine and since fitting the Nexens, it cruises at 60mph in near silence:p:D:D

Does it tick? :p:D

It winds itself up when you shake it, can't hear is ticking, but it works if that's what you mean. But you can definitely tell the difference between it and a V8 it's worth a lot more for a start. :D:D:D

There are fake Rolexes and real fake Rolexes according to market traders in Singapore. With fake Rolexes the second hand moves in steps and the movement is quartz, with real fake Rolexes the second hand sweeps like the real thing and the movement is self winding clockwork.:)
