OK, so I have a set of fog lights for a possible fit. . Switch on dashboard is present. BECM, knows they are present and power is on the connectors.

So I have the transmission cooler with fan! So not sure I can get a lamp in there? Anyone got one in front of the fan? (I know this can be moved, but seems a lot of hassle) Even if I can get the lamp in, how do I get air to the fan? I have heard of an adapted bumper? What does that look like?

Would like to fit them, so all advice welcome.

There is a photo of mine on here somewhere you will have to look for it. Not sure if it's possible to fit a lamp with fan in place. Mine does not have the fan. :);)

Yes it's possible to fit the light with the fan in place.
I've always argued that if you're not towing over the alps or trekking across the Sahara you don't need the gearbox cooler.

Since I fitted the foglamps I've only had to replace the gearbox once.

Thanks, so the gearbox went because of the lamps?

only way I could get mine in with the fan was to remove the bumper, and it never sat straight

so I just moved the cooler and that was +50k miles ago and it's fine :)

No, I honestly don't think that the gearbox cooler has ever done anything.
I believe that my gearbox went was because it hadn't had it's oil or filter changed in over 100,000 miles then I went and disturbed it.
I suppose that the Powerbox and my heavy right foot didn't help either.

Datatek is right by the way, the OEM foglights are about as much use as a lace Durex. I only fitted them because I think that the car looks better with them and if they're there they might as well switch on.

Perfect, I want to fit for the same reason. Thank you.

I fitted leds in mine then relised they were quite dim (actually very dim) with them so I rewired them as running lights

Being Land Rover they already come with a Bond style oil slick if you miss them with the lasers:)
