Is there anywhere I can get a fully working spare key for my old Disco without getting flrrced by a main dealer, I'm in Deepest, Darkest Derbyshire,,,Thanks.

Yep buy the blanks from ebay get the key cut insert old computer chip into new key fob or you could go down the D3 key fob route too

if you want a new key ie with fob on it, then it needs to get programmed to you vehicle as there is a number in the key fob itself ( EKA code ) that has to be entered into the ecu using nanocom or something similar.

have a look a this Land Rover Discovery II

Only got the one key and need two, so I've got to get the complete gubins and have it keyed into the truck

Thats a bummer then get whoever programmes the key to make sure you only have your 2 keys on it too

Think you could buy a 2nd hand unit from a well known auction site and get someone with nanocom to programme it for you

Just make sure that you get a key blank that can be cut, your blank needs two lines cut in it from end to end otherwise you can not get it cut at a cobblers !
