I hear a squeaking noise when turning fully left or right. also the alternator light comes on. So, I thought it was the belt. But after adjusting the belt the noise is still there. it only happens driving slowly around a corner and steering wheel fully left or right. Can it be something else? power steering pump? The belt is one year old.

Is it just when the car is moving or does it happen when stationary too? If the latter then it might be pump or belt, but if it only happens in motion then I'd be thinking about wheel bearings, brakes fouling something, tyres fouling, CV joints and suchlike.

If the alternator light is coming on as well I'd seriously be thinking the belt is glazed and not gripping properly. You might want to think about trying a replacement belt and tensioning it properly before throwing money at more expensive stuff.

I have a new belt on stock, so will replace that first. Been doing some off-road and greenlaning. There was some mud and water on the engine, maybe the belt suffered from that.
