Novel idea but rather than having to stick a mat to the windscreen after it's frosted, just save yourself the cash and stick a piece of cardboard on the outside of the windscreen the night before?

Depending how much heat it kicks out, you could risk cracking your screen.

Will have to tell the wife a heated screen is the only option lol

A kettle full of warm water poured on the windscreen does the trick.
A before anyone says anything , I've be doing It for 26 years and I've never cracked a screen.
The key is to get the right temperature, if the waters too cold it just refreezes, if it's too hot you might crack it.

If my windscreen ever needs replacing though I would get a heated one fitted.
