I chucked a battery on my Disco today after 3 months of it being outside whist I have been replacing the damage my bird did to it.

I turned the key and it started within 10 seconds 1st time, is this normal?

Perfectly common with a jap diesel but only ever happens to mine if I have spent the previous week throwing money at it and offered it some of my blood and skin.

sounds like it's fecked.

My advice would be to drive it staright to the garage.
