No HG cock-up yet,she still goes like a beast.Last weekend took her to Ben Wyvis in the Higlands and tackled some serious off roading....could ve done with a bit more clearance,and better weather but thats it.

Doesnt use any coolent and or oil what so ever.Got a small brake fliud leak but even with that it doesnt make a difference with usage of BF.

Love the old Hippo and would not swap her for any thing(til the HG goes and then she goes in to Loch Ness )

There must be more happy petrol Hippo owners out there........

Yep fit a decat pipe on the earlier models and 52mm Throttle body for immediate power gains.

Serious re-working of ports and re-chip can give the k-series lethal bursts of power. Will cause a few red faces to other drivers trying to overtake

A bloke I knew years ago had a morris Ital estate (yes they're horrible) with a 1.8 k-series tuned to the max on throttle bodies, it was chucking out summat like 250 bhp!!! very very quick car.
