Looking for a steering guard for my 90 . Do I choose Steel or Alloy ??

Rebel, mines their unbranded one so cheaper but just as good and get the steel one. Mine doesn't have recovery rings but was easy to fit jate rings instead (which I already had).

just FYI, you may need to make sure Jate rings can be fitted, ( if you want them, mine will not take std width Jate rings ) some steering guards use the same holes, and mean the standard jate rings will not fit. Or look for one that has recovery eyes on it, ( again if you want them).

Sarah90 did you use std forged jate rings? as yours is unbranded is it solid , or does it have holes cut in it? if so I may have to look at changing mine,

Be reet, I just prefer steel as its easy to repair and modify

Steel. I got one from Paddocks, took the brunt of a hit from a skip lorry and didnt deform (and neither did my chassis before you say anything!)

Also take many hits since then from rocks and the such. No damage or deformation after a year of good use.

Yep used the same bolts..just tweaked the jate rings a little as I had put them on a bit tight pre steering guard and it worked a treat
Rebel didn't have any of the branded ones in stock when I ordered and the sales lady recommended I get that one (made by them but without the name), glad I did as it was £39 plus delivery so saved me a few bob

That does look interesting, similar to the one a friend of mine made to cover his steering after a 2" lift.
