steel
I think mines alloy, should I upgrade?
Hi Olly,
just FYI, you may need to make sure Jate rings can be fitted, ( if you want them, mine will not take std width Jate rings) some steering guards use the same holes, and mean the standard jate rings will not fit. Or look for one that has recovery eyes on it, ( again if you want them).
Sarah90 did you use std forged jate rings? as yours is unbranded is it solid , or does it have holes cut in it? if so I may have to look at changing mine,
Cheers
Well , I 'll be...
fair play to you, But how did you manage that Sarah90? does the steering guard not use the same bolts as the Jates?
Jates will not go over my chassis and steering guard.
Cheers

I had an alloy one, it bent at the sight of mud and was useless on rocks.
Go for a steel one
West midlands 4x4 do quite an interesting one, it uses bars instead a plate so doesn't work like a plough when reversing in ruts.
