Hey peeps, went out to me hippo this morning only to find some bXXXXXd hit my mirror. before i go about replacing it, i know they have a stupid design being that theres no play with it, you cant close it in which means one knock n all the plastics just come apart. Anyone know if theres a design that fits 98 freelanders that can close in.

i fink the retractable ones doo - i even fink the lectrics is there. Do a search under "mirror". It HAS been covered before.

Just found that link on search, thanks mate, the power-fold one sounds great. i can be lazy n wire it up to the central locking switch lol.

Don't know whether I understood it all correctly but mine are not electrically folding mirrors either, however when I hit the outside edge of it they fold in. (Or are the earlier ones a solid casing with no rotation possible?)

It's possible the first Hippos had these solid plastic ones, impossible to move them unless you used a car to run into it ??
