Evening just thought I'd introduce myself. Hopefully I won't need to ask too many questions regarding problems with my new purchase although it has done 207000 miles :D

Cheers

Just ignore the people who think they drive real Land Rovers.

Doors fallen off yours yet?

Why?

Are they supposed to?

I looked at loads when I was buying mine and not one of them had doors that were falling off.

They might have had other old car related problems, just like any other old Land Rover.

Yup, happens when they get wet

I might have agreed with you a few years ago, but having had 2 Skoda's which were the most reliable cars I have ever owned...... I now own a Land Rover

My case is proven......They can't even get them to break-down properly :p

Thanks for the replies. The drivers door does feel like it may drop off at some point, need to change the top hinge. Other than that it seems ok. Clutch was done Monday ans I put a set of Michelin Alpins on it. Going to do a service soon and change the breather filter for the BMW unit. Considering the mileage it's done it really is in good condition, it cost me peanuts and will be used for when I need to get to sites that are across fields, basically anywhere I I can't get me van. Done 600 miles in 2 days apart from being a bit noisey it is actually quite nice to drive.

Does anyone know if the heated front screen works on the same switch as the back screen, can't find a button for it?

Cheers

There should be a separate button above the rear window one. If it is blank the you don't have the heated front screen. It was an option. Not standard.

Best to ask these questions in the relevant section.
