Every one is saying black roof, matt silk roof and arches has been suggested, not sure about that I prefer it as it is :)

Used tractor paint, enamel stuff and sprayed it on with plenty of thinners so it dried quick. Touch dry in a few minutes but had to put about three coats on and still needs more.
I skimped a bit on the prep in places and it shows so re prepping those areas, main job done though its tidier than it was:D

Was going to paint mine seca blue. IMO you need lots of black detailing to make it work. Big black modulars, big arches and roof rack or cage "mans" it up.

Ah tractor paint. U spray outside ?

Fordson Dexta Empire blue, the later colour which was lighter

Outside yes but it was windy, it was very hot and sunny though so that helped, had to get it done before Thursday as the forecast was for it to cool to 63 deg but it was hot again dooh.

Bit of a rush job but it turned out as I wanted it:)

Got roof rack to go on with four spots on it and 'A' bar with big lamps as well if it isn't too much
Disco 1 alloys with big tyres as well if I can get tyres cheap enough off my mate.

Then it'll get 200 tdi and a good looking at so its MOT ready (not till Jan) and then I am selling it so as I can get on with my other 90:)

Thinners can make the colour lighter, the difference between my bulkhead and rest of body is noticeable with different amount of thinners

That wouldn't be because you stirred the paint differently for the bulkhead or not at all would it:)

Sorry to say it Landyowner but I agree with everyone else. The bumper, rear cros-member, detailing and - if possible - the roof need to be black to smarten it up. At the moment it looks a bit like a child's toy:)

Black mudguard edging will help as well.

It IS a childs toy ;)

And....it would be blue and black then instead of just blue:confused:
