5 times over the last couple of weeks my 300tdi disco(1996) has failed to start. It will spin over on the starter motor but just won't fire. Usually it will fire at the flick of the key hot or cold. Tryed locking and unlocking a few times cos maybe thought it could be immobiliser. After a few mins of trying it will fire and then run fine. Any suggestions of the cause? Thinking it may be immobiliser spider as interior of car has been very hot each time it has happened but don't want to have to pull dashboard apart if it could be something else.

Course the fuel pump is coming on, tis a diesel!

Always a spider fault to be had on the good old disco, otherwise is say dodgy fuel isolator solenoid.

Frankly, not really anything else it could be.
