When you say its faulty. Can you clarify on exactly what the failure symptoms are?

People also get confused by referring to the rear differential as the haldex, which isn't correct. The haldex sits between the prop and the differential, but isn't exactly part of the diff.

Its been repaired. Its the haldex. But more of a temparary fix instead of replacing it apprently.

what sort of temporary fix? Not sure what the average garage can do.....

dealers did it. And not sure what type of repair cos not sure of type of fault.

Yep does seem really strange to be able to carry out a temporary repair. Unless the pump is broken and they just hit it with a hammer to get it working again. Else I have no ideas.

Maybe they are just suggesting that Haldax will fail again ? When the Haldax failed on our Tiguan it did so with a bang the transmitted no drive at all.

Nope theyve sed it needs replacing. It costs alot to replace so theyve repaired it for now with the warning its not fixed. Replacement item is dollar without labour. Just trying to work out a. Whats wrong and 3. What theyve done to it to sort it.
