Hi!
19J engine on 90 model - Changed fuel filter, everything working fine up to that point, filled filter and fitted - tried to start and ran for 2 secs then stopped. Started to go through priming process and could not get priming lever to pump, it moves but no resistance. Blipped engine a few times to move cam but still no resistance - Tried priming on starter motor but getting nothing at filter head (slight dribble)

Any ideas please?

I managed to bleed it on the starter, and seems to be ok now - I would still be interested on feedback on the primer handle - feels like perhaps its broken internally or similar - Would be easier to do it with that as you need a second person to crank it while you bleed otherwise and I don't like turning the injector pump with potentially no fuel in it.

levers on lift pumps often dont work either through been broken inside or because inner lever is on cam lobe ,but wont effect running or pump if its bled on starter
