at risk of a flaming, or starting another debate on towing, i work on the gtw (gross train weight) of my disco and trailer being 6.2 ton. the 3.5 ton gross trailer i use weighs in at 700kg, so max payload weight is 2800kg, just short of 3 ton.
most i've (knowiningly) had on it was 6.02 ton, and tho legal gtw, the trailer was over the limit. (handy weigh bridge next door to us)
wouldnt fancy going far with that weight!
what is slightly disconcerting is, the 6.2 gtw ive never seen in print, information was second hand...

the disco on its own, with general day to day **** in it, weighs in at 2300kg!
