well brought this at the weekend. love it already.



However, just looking at the indicator and side lights on the front seem to be oversized and flat compared to the standard ones which my dad has on his defender.

are these the new style or shape, and if so can I get clear lens for them as i want them all white instead of the orange. if anyone could help me out would be much appreciated.

I'm pretty sure they're aftermarket ones - seem a fair bit bigger to me so doubt they are, as you suspect, original.

They look like the NAS ones which are available from loads of places. I would go original looks much better

yeah that's what I thought they were, not to keen on them. smaller ones definitely look better.

seen them on fleebay but a lot of them seem to be LED ones

far more visible than standard lights, you can get all clear, may be a problem swapping back as they look to be fitted on regular NAS plinths which will almost certainly mean the wing behind will have been hacked

Bolt on bits do sell 'easy fit plinths' that allow NAS without too much chopping but they 'overhang' the light surrounds wheras yours dont....

yeah there is a lot of chequer. some there for a reason lol.

but the ones around the lights will be coming off, as I think it looks a bit crap.

then hopefully spray the original light surrounds black for the minute

well fingers crossed they have used the simple ones and can swap then easily. will find out tonight when I have a proper look.

they don't look so bad on the black surround, like on yours. I don't know if its just the chequer plate that makes it look too big

Personally I like NAS lights and have had a full set of twelve on my 90 for over 12-years now but they are a very personal preference (as with everything).
The light output of the full LED ones are a great improvement over both standard & NAS lights although depending on the make (Wipac & BOB for instance) some look a bit too bling in my mind.
Personally I like the Le Perei ones (OE manufacturer), not cheap but an excellent product and the output from twin reverse LED is really good.
