Hi guys.

My Td5 110 is getting to the point of needing a new clutch. Obviosuly ive started to look into the costs but am a bit spoilt for choice with regards to manufacturer.

She does a fair bit of towing so id like to put a heavy duty setup in.

Can anyone offer any suggestions/advice on manufacturer and improvements that i could do? :scratching_chin:

when you say towing, do you mean caravan, or heavy towing?? if the former, a normal clutch is fine IMO, if the latter, Im lead to believe a 130 clutch fits (and is the same as a 90/110 HD clutch)

Heavy towing, i work in the agicultural industry so she does get a bit of abuse at times

give gwyn lewis a ring, warrior got his HD clutch advice & clutch from him, knows his stuff, like I said, pretty sure it was a 130 clutch (check first tho).

Sorry to burst your bubble gents but for a TD5 there is no such thing as a heavy duty clutch.

there is either a oem britpart or valeo kit for a TD5

The flywheel comes in either Dual mass oem, britpart, valeo, ap, borg and beck and a couple more or britpart do a solid flywheel.

Ive found clutches from valeo, transmech, LUK among a few others. Any ideas on which ones are better quality or if there isnt much difference??

Same goes with the flywheel, is there any particular brand that is better?

What about HD clutch forks and release bearings, are they compatible with Td5's?

td5 clutch fork is far better than tdis andyou couldnt make it more hd just use valeo though luk etc are all good

Ok mate. I didnt know wether the HD clutch forks that are advertised are an improvement on all landy clutches in general as they dont normally specify wether or not they are for one particular model

What james said. Valeo all the way, there proven and reliable. TD5's have a HD clutch fork as standard.

I just changed mine. Got a Valeo clutch kit £100 and a DM flywheel £300 from ebay.

Look carefully though as some advertise the full kit and some parts are genuine and some aren't. make sure its all valeo.
