Ps
I'm getting air temp reading of -38.88
I think you've just brought Datatek out in a cold sweat.
I believe that is the reading from a sensor that isn't present.
G~
If you have a MAF, that temperature reading is normal as the sensor does not exist, it does not mean the MAF is faulty, although of course it maybe.Ps

Could be, I do not know without checking as FIP's are not my speciality, I just don't remember such a big difference in the readings.Yeah it's got a maf. So that's not an issue then. But the points do far apart is an issue?
I could be wrong but I am sure Wammers mentioned timng modulation should between 40-55% but don't quote me on that!
A timing chain would be good, but it is also possible to retime the pump (aslong as the chain hasn't stretched excessivly that is)Perhaps he will come along and clarify. I'm assuming if that's correct a new timing chain fitting would correct that?

Don't forget if you fit a new chain etc, in 20K you'll have to retime the pump in anycase!
IIRC I have heard figures of £250 or so for a Diesel Specialist to retime the pump...I bet a garage would charge a small fortune
76000 is nothing for this engine, I have one on 162k and the other on 112K and the timing is fine.Well it's done 76000 and have no history so I have no idea wether this has been done or not. How difficult is it to retime the pump? Worth a try before buying a full timing kit
