Just to avoid any confusion
thought of the jack idea Saint problem is i'm bit heavy handed probably put the jack through the bottom of the sump. got my mate sorted just offered him a breakfast before we start, and possibly supper after. its just years since done this sort of thing, but i brought the p38 as a bit of hobby to keep me occupied so got to give it a go. looking forward to it if i'm truthfull. i was wary about doing the heater plugs but really enjoyed doing them albeit probably took me twice as long as anybody else, just proved to myself that i could so well pleased. hope the same goes for this project.

Finally got there have changed the oil and filter in the auto box
No later ones dont have dip stick ,only undo top up plug when empty for pre fill, when it dribbles out with engine off, screw back in start car go through gears put in park with engine running refill unto it dribbles out then its topped up .
Never undo without enging running as it will spill out.
The only time you can undo it is when engine is running in park or if the sump has been emptied read for a prefill .
