Hi,
I'm a newbie and no confidence with a spanner.
People say it's expensive but a good idea to remap an older Diesel Discovery.
Mine has an occasional missing at about 2 1/2 to 3 K revs when accelerating.
And seems a bit thirsty.
Any advice please
Thanks
David

A remap will not cure the misfire. Fix that first before thinking of remapping

I agree !!.

There is a list as long as your arm of things that can cause the misfire from oil in the injector loom to a colapsed turbo hose to a knackered MAF sensor.

However, the TD5 responds FANTASTICALLY to a ecu remap giving more power, but more importantly, more smooyness in its delivery. Low down flat spots are eleminated making the drive soo much more pleasurable.

When choosing a remap company I would recommend Dynachip, but Alive and J E Engineering also have very goos reviews.

Cheers.
