Hi folks.Just bought my first Landrover, a Freelander TD4. The HDC does not work, any thoughts? The green and amber lights on the dash come on and go off when engine is started as they should but when the button on gear stick is pressed and collar pulled down nothing happens, no lights on dash.
Please help, Rob.

firstly , hdc will only work in 1st or reverse gear

Yep, doing that. Selected first, pressed trigger on gear stick, pulled collar down and released trigger. Nothing on dash (green or Amber).

Just been reading a thread in How To. Will have to remove gaiter tomorrow and check. Thanks Howardo.

Mines the same. Unless you go off road you will never need it! Even then its does not control your speed down to a slow nuf speed to be much use

Cheers guys. Removed gaiter today and had a look, both wires to the gear stick switch have broken off. Best get may soldering iron out.
