Hi again. Recently the passenger door locked in the cold weather. I did the trick with the screwdriver down the window and a gentle tap released the lock luckily. Since then whenever whenever I drive the car, the computer tells me the dOor is open. When I press the catch from the inside the warning goes off. I've taken the lock apart, regreased everything, contact cleaned all the electrics, cleaned the spring etc. Now eberything is working eperfectly. It lock by the key, and remote so is doing it's job. However, I still have the samme warning unless I lock it manually. Please help
, I feel like there is a steering wheel down my pants and it's driving me nuts.

Thanks, where should I be looking to find the microswitches? Are they the 2 green ones inside the lock? If they have gone, any suggestion on the best way to replace? Cheers yet again.

It will be the ones in the lock. It's possible to buy just the micro switches.

thanks, i have a spare driver's door lock, would the switches be tranferable, or are they 'sided'? Before I take them both apart.

Personally, I'd be putting a meter across the switches in situe to check operation before I started pulling things apart.

thanks again chaps, unfortunately I'm not very good with electrics. Practical, yes, electrical, no. Any help on where, how I test them? Sorry to be a pain.

Hi, I thought I had fixed the problem but a week later, it's returned. I cleaned the micro switches and everything was hunkey dorey until my son got in the front and slammed the door. I'm now sure it is the micro switch not sitting right, or damaged. I've looked everywhere for a replacement micro switch but have failed miserably. does anyone have any sources I can purchase the correct one from? thanks.

OK, this is now beyond me. I have swapped the micro switches for ones that DO work properly. checked the continuity of all leads to the outstation, and tested it. Now it does the following -
When the black lead is connected it locks on the fob but says door openand i get the beep beep.
When the black lead is NOT connected it opens on the fob with the other doors.
This leads me to believe the actual lock is doing what it should so there must be another issue I dont know about. Please, anyone throw any light on this. Do i need another lock, new leads, new outstation or bcem?

Diagnostics is really the only answer to pinning down the problem without keep changing things.
