Hi

As we all know the drivers seat does suffer a great deal on the p38 and ours is no exception.:(
Hubby wishes to change the seat so has been on look out for a complete set.
What I would like to know (if poss) is are all p38 electric seats compatible as long as like for like ( heated or not ).
I know they have to 'talk' to the 'brain' and might need to be programmed in once fitted.

Thanks

You'll need to have the hi line BeCM fitted....can be indicated by an H on the top of the BeCM....

Isn't the highline only needed (in this context) if the new seats have side airbags and the originals didn't? And possibly also for memory.

Hi Line is needed for electric seats. Side airbags have nothing at all to do with the BECM, SRS is a separate system.

If your new seats have airbags and your old ones didnt just leave that plug disconected and the srs system wont know the differance
Think the air bags have a perish date on them and all p38s will be past the date anyway so theres a chance that even if you do wire them up correctly they wont go off in a crash anyway
