Either the FOB needs to be synced to the car or possibly the FOB is not the right one for the car. Really needs to go on diagnostics to see if the BECM receives a valid code from the FOB. It's also possible the lock motors are burnt out, which may be why a new receiver has been fitted. You might also check that there is power to the receiver.

hi all the doors lock together with the key and it sets the alarm ( well makes the red light flash by the gearstick) and indicators flash when key is turned . we had to put the eka code in today as the alarm was going off when door unlocked this worked first time we did it so think the door lock must be ok could i just fit a after market remote central locking to the drivers door rod and then the rest would open or will the alarm go off cos it hasnt sensed the key in the lock

You cannot just fit aftermarket locking, it's not that simple. If the BECM does not receive a valid code either from the FOB or the EKA code it won't start.
Have you tried a FOB resync? The proceedure varies according to year. PM Mozz Smith if you need help, he's the genius on this.

we have always just put the key in the lock to unlock it. only had to put the code in twice so does that mean the remote is synced but just not working on another note fitted a set of valves to the air pipes for the suspension and its been up now for a couple of hours lets see if its all level in the morning .

Like Datatek says it maybe needs a fob resync, try pressing the lock button while turning the key to lock doors then the unlock button while turning key to unlock.

yup tried that several times and still nothing .looks like we wont be having remote central locking not taking it to the dealers its not worth spending dealer money on wife will have to keep sticking key in lock .
