Sorry guys, dumb noob question coming up

I've got a pin missing from one of my rear door hinges, so I bought one of those stainless steel replacement pin kits that come with a spring and a brass ball. I know this is a dumb question, but does the brass ball go at the bottom of the hinge, followed by the spring/washer/nylock?

Please be gentle with me...
