Hi looking to replace my clutch.

Found that there are many companies offering a kit to replace the old dual mass clutch and flywheel with a standard clutch. Seems to be about 40 % cheaper. Anybody done this ? What difference does it make ? any advice welcome.

If anybody has any experience of the kit below I would also like to hear from you

you might want to google "TECHNICLUTCH"

a fair few bad reviews to be seen .. i.e warnings
e.g. clutch kit arrived .. didn't fit the vehicle .. no refund ..

Thanks for that, one to watch then. Cheers

was just looking at .. Euro Car Parts | The UK's Number 1 Provider of Car Parts Online and In Store .. for clutch kits ..
be one dual mass kit by *'LUK' .. priced cheaper than that 'techniclutch' offering ..
no idea about vat on their prices .. but even adding that to the website price .. it's cheaper
'n eurocarparts seem to have an ok reputation .. plus stores in many uk locations
(* .. LuK (UK) Ltd. #|#Welcome to the site of LuK (UK) Ltd .. )

btw: .. was looking at hippo1 kits ..

re. aftermarket clutches .. i'd be asking LR techies as well .. for their opinion ..

i did once look into solid flywheel options .. ( out of curiosity )
be quite a bit of debate on various forums ..
as to whether it's a good idea .. or not ..

The title "Freelander 2 (LR2) Clutch Replacement" might give it away though...

It does say Freelander 2 (LR2) clutch replacement. Am I cracking up or what. :-( I'm going for a lay down in a darkend room.
