The standard Defender V8 can be a little lacklustre, but with very little fiddling, you can get lot more performance for very little cost. I have a ex RRC 3.9 in mine converted to twin SU's, with high compression heads, performance cam and sports exhaust and K&N cones. Bottom end power & torque is not much better than stock, but there is a lot more grunt in the mid range & top end.

thats wot i did to my 2 door rangie... i aslo put in a 4 speed manual which really got the thing to suck air through the carbs...:censored:,the hair on yer neck would curl at 5krpm...

You can generally see those that are gonna try and carve you up as you pull away from the lights. Unfortunately for them a 110 made a fantastic rolling road block for keepeing em on course for going the wrong way.

Haha mine had an old shagged sd1 engine and carbs in so I put a disco h/c engine with sd1 carbs just needs rejectting ATM but runs nice
