Hi Gents got a few issues with the car!!

where to start!!!

its a 4.4 v8 70K with a Lavato LPG conversion.

the car was making strange rattle noises on start up and was chugging then decided to die. it turned out to be a slipped tooth on the timing chain which lead to a full engine rebuild.

4 months later I have got the car back and after driving the car for a few miles the following engine codes have come up P1174 & P1171. the follwing readiness monitors also failed Catalyst Monitoring, Oxygen Sensor & Oxygen Sensor heat?

the LPG system also doenst work arggghhh but i think this may be unrelated.

any help would be greatly appriciated!!

Could be the Fuel Trims need resetting...or the Lambdas gone U/S

is the lambda easy to change?

Fairly simple, they should just un plug the wiring plug and unscrew from the exhaust...trouble with Lambda sensors is they tend to not want to unscrew from the Exhaust and can take a bit of persuading....

I would get a garage to confirm the diagnosis, as we are only going on a pair of fault codes - it might even be something related i.e. Split Air Ducting introducing to much air that the ECU hasn't accounted for that is leaning out the fuel/air mixture...!!

fingers crossed its only a hose leak etc, the car should be going in tomorrow so heres hoping!!

Oh dear looks like I have the same however I have notice the small hove off the intake boot is a bit loose will chat on my thread
