How much force should it need to separate an IRD from the gearbox on a 2001TD4, The 4 mounting bolts are out, prop off, N/S drive shaft out, O/S is loose so i know its not restricting it, O/S bracket and engine stabilizer are also off. Ive given it as much force as i believe is needed to overcome a cheap rubber seal but she ain't for moving. maybe a 1/16th of an inch clearance visible around the mating faces but short of hammering a wedge in I'm stumped
Does it really need a good amount of brutality or did i miss something...
(Gearbox is coming out for a new clutch/slave, stopped dead at the 'remove 4 bolts and drop out the |IRD unit')
