finished washing & waxing the fender, just trying to get a bit of life back into the paint after she has been stood a year under a tree

some bits have come up pretty well, but some just aint, the paint feels rough to the touch, so to me needs a bit of a t-cut.

any cheaper/ same price but better products out there? don't want to spent a fortune, cos in the next 12-18 months I want to give her a re-paint, but theres a few other bits to sort out first, corrosion in places etc.

Just want to pretty her up a bit.

Find your local (automotive) paint shop, and get some g3 compound. for the same price as a small T-cut you'll get a fairly large pot. It's what the pros use, usually on a buffer but can be used by hand too

Yep. G3 works a treat. Just don't be to aggressive when working it in.

Wouldn't use G3 imo go with G10 as its a little finer so would give a better finish if doing it by hand, what colour is it?

I use G3 all the time for scratch removal, will do a great job and handy stuff to keep around...

upol 333 liquid compound. far cheaper than G3 or G10 . £15 for a 1 litre bottle.

needs a bit more than just spit n polish, like I said, some bits are rough to touch, so they need smoothing off before it'll polish up properly.

Well now you know the compound to use all is needed is elbo grease,i know because the buffers will only do half the landy especially if you got a snorkle , what a pain in the ass.
