Or run it almost empty to get rid of the petrol mix as soon as possible.
I did the same, 12 litres then brimmed the tank with diesel, about 50,000 miles ago and no problems yet.

add a bit of two stroke oil to keep the pump lubricatedAlright guys here's what has happened!Pulled into garage and put 6 litres of unleaded into my TD4.Quickly realizing my mistake i topped up with diesel and everything seems to be ok . Do i have any need to be concerned..

Ye but no but yours dun't go above 99,999 coz land rover din't think they would ever last that long as they dissolve so easily. Dun't really matter as yer counter packed up years ago.50k in a Freelander well done

mine did 340,000 and my mates still driving it now on the same diesel engine, my dad had it from new lol

as much as i like to take the **** outta gaylanders they aint that bad and are more comfy than most landys....discos dont count as they're chavmobiles

Some people still do - (me for one) - when the temperature drops to much below -25 degrees C and I don't trust the diesel supplier to have put in the right anti-waxing additive. (In Kosovo we used paraffin mostly.)
6 litres is right on the accepted limit of 10% mix, though.
Shouldn't do any harm.
I would use half the tank and then top up again as Hippo suggests.
