The French government have just reduced the tax on petrol/diesel by 3 cents a litre, not a lot but better than nothing.:D:D:D Can't see the UK government doing the same
They also pursueded the petrol companies to reduce their margin by 3 cents, naturally they companies saw this coming and raised their prices over the last 2 weeks so they could reduce their margin and lose nothing:rolleyes:

Still prices are indeed down 6 cents today:D:D:D

Nice one, as you say, the chance of our thieving bastards doing the same are slim to sod all. If all tax was removed here. Fuel would be around 30p per litre. That covers, exploration, getting it out of the ground, tankerage, refining, distribution, oil company profit, garage profits. So they don't really have a lot to play with.

Hurrumph - not fair (toys out of pram - sulking)

As Tony says, they ain't never gonna do the same this side of the stream - in fact there is a 3p duty rise due soon I believe....

Fuel over here has jumped by 38 cents in the past 3 weeks. Mind you that still works out at about $1/63p/€0.80 per litre. Which I am sure beats you all hands down.:D

Jealous! What's their reasoning for doing so?

Just worked out that saves me €30 on my round trip to Bordeaux compared to Irish prices... how many cheap bottles of plonk is that...?!!

15 unless you go really cheap:D:D:D

If you are going to Bordeaux, I'm not far from the A10 at Poiters if you have any problems.

Good news for you but do you boys really need to drive around in chip vans polluting the place :p surely you would all be better with a nice luxurious v8 :D:D

V8 = 2 too many cylinders, 8 too many spark plugs, access too difficult, too thirsty, should be outlawed:p

now lets re-edit.

2 beautiful growling cylinders more, 8 glorious spark plugs not 6 glow worms, access is no prob for the butler, only thirsty with a heavy right foot, DIESELS should be outlawed
