Hi all,
I've searched and found the link that explains it all but this seems a little coincidental so wondered if anyone else has experienced this:
There was a lot of play in my steering which was down to the nut on the drop arm (steering box end) being loose. This was down to a buggered washer that wasn't holding the nut in place properly. So ... fitted a new washer and flattened the two sides to lock it in place after torquing the nut to 172Nm as stated in the workshop guide.
Took the Landy for a spin and all seemed great, no play at all and I was a happy chappy. I then went on the dual carriageway and as I hit 50mph the steering wheel started to shake as if the wheels were out of balance but much worse.
I didn't have this before I tightened the drop arm nut so is it caused by that or just coincidence?
Cheers
