get yoself a tame accountant. I have one, comes in every month to check what I am doing and fix any anomolies - only there for an hour - well worth not having huge agro at year end :).

just a thought
but is the thermostat not opening enough and restricting the flow ,pressurising the rad and shoving the coolent into the tank?
Can you take the stat out and see what happens?

It ain't got a thermotwat!!!!

So is the temp controlled by the rate the water pump turns?

it is a pulsed pump, so the temp is controlled by the length of the "on" pulse and the speed of the pump, regulated by the feedback controller and the temp sensor.

Oh right , the wonders of modern technology.
I know I shouldn't ask:behindsofa: but what if the thermostat was still in the system
(restricted flow)

It's after the feed from the tank so would probably make it worse!?!?

I really don't think people are "getting" what this system does or you wouldn't keep asking about the thermostat. The thermostat is a crude but effective analogue method of temperature management - the EWP and controller replaces this with a fully computerised digital system which is far more dynamic, adaptable and better for the engine. Most engines wouldn't need it, but the K series has absolutely no margin for error when it comes to cooling, which is why this system is eminantly suitable for it.
