I think Mozz is your man on this one.He may be along soon with a bit of luck![]()
1996 yes??
Put the Key in the DOOR LOCK and Turn to the LOCK position and Press the LOCK button
Turn the key to the UNLOCK position and Press the UNLOCK button...
Take key out of door lock and unlock the car using the LOCK button....unlock the car using the UNLOCK button.....open door and start the car....
With luck the keys should be synced.....
Post '99 had a passive coil in the ignition barrell to resync the keys....
NOTE: if you have removed the RF aerial to the reciver, you may struggle to sync the keys.
Sorry, I must have confused Vehicles with someone else with Locking issues...Thanks for the info, my girl is a 2001 so I thought she would resync for me, I'll try your method tomorrow![]()

Yes a 2001 should sync automatically....
When you put the key in the Ignition and turn it, does the red LED flash confirming the sync??
Mozz has reportedly had good results in helping people sync....PM him and he may be able to help!
Hi guys, once again thanks for all the help with alarm lock out, smaller problem now, neither of my keys will now open or close the doors remotely, both start car etc, have tried pressing unlock while in ignition but no joy, both units having flashing lights, any thoughts cheers![]()
Owners handbook explain how to re-sync, mines older model so might be different.
How's your RF receiver status? Connected?

I too had same problem on a late 2001 4.6 - check your little red light flashes when you press button - put key in drivers door and press and hold down lock button - still holding lock button turn key anti-clockwise to lock door but hold it there for at least a slow count to 10 - you should hear all the sync
This method worked for both my keys - if not I am sure one of the other chaps can help
