well not quite!
It soaks up a lot of time, and set up can be cash hungry to get set up - some would say it's worth paying the extra at the regular pump?
However
..
I have 2 set ups I have 1 for Black Diesel, I run my heating system on this, and I used it in my old Peugeot Diesel with no problems, you run Black diesel with 50/50 mix with regular Dino Diesel. and you also need to tell Mr Government as you have to pay Tax on Black Diesel (still cheaper than 100% red diesel) just extra paperwork ;-)
and I have my Bio set up - this has 2 header tanks 1 for fresh unused oil from the wholesalers and the other for the free used stuff that will need the sediments filtering out of it. Remember 2500 litres a year before you have to start paying tax ;-) and I will advise you to keep records!
but having said that, and making it sound a chore - it's quick simple and once you have done a few batches you'll get the hang of it and it will become part of your weekly routine - although expect neighbors to start asking why you fill up on your drive every Sunday?
the waste product is none toxic from Bio diesel and I throw all the Glycerine in the compost pile with all the poop from my chickens and pigs, you could make soap if you fancy pretending to be Tyler for a day? Or something Ive been thinking about is compressing it into solid bars to take camping they burn forever!! The water from washing bio diesel isnt toxic either and is safe to go down the drain or on your lawn.
