Gidday,

my p38 has an intermittent fault with the eas which has been ongoing for the last couple of years. When it's cold, the suspension sometimes takes yonks to pump up and sometimes after pumping long enough goes into fault mode. When the vehicle is warm (15k's down the motorway) the suspension starts to work ok (usually). My initial thoughts were a sticking valve in the valve block, but i now think it's a worn compressor. I intend to recondition the compressor but would like to know which kit t6o buy, as there are ****loads on ebay. Are all the compressors the same, or are there different models. Which is the best kit to buy? Cheers Spadger
PS. Living in NZ but shouting for the Irish tonight, and the English this morning

Morning/Afternoon, whichever side of the day it is all the way down there...!!!

I would say the compressor is on its way out!!!

But there might be a leak somewhere too, or else, if you refurb the compressor, it will only wear out in double quick time again....

Go over everything with soapy water to see if you can see any bubbles forming....

Also the suspension bags only have a life of about 80k miles or 7-8 years, so could be tired by now.

As for refurb seals, try and avoid the Dutch made seals, they have had reports of failing quicker than expected....but others have had good results - you pas yer money, ter takes yer chance....

Just agreeing with Saint. In fact it sounds just like the issues I had with a Dutch refurb kit. As the weather got colder the worse the compressor became. After three months I replaced it with a Symalise kit.

I concur with the above, Symlise are good for the bits for the compressor and valve block.

Found symlise on ebay and in the process of organizing some parts. temp is up today (10-12 degrees) and the suspension is working perfectly.
