Hi All,
does anybody know if the following is possible?????

I have a 200 tdi on an L reg and the rear axle case has suffered at the hands of the rust worms, a friend of mine is about to scrap a 24spline rear axle and I need to know if I can fit my 10 spline diff shafts and ends to it to make my disco happy again.
Any advice welcome guys/gals:confused:

yes but caliper bolts will be metric with bihex head ,so yours if are scured with hex inperial head bolts will need caliper hole reaming /drilling to size or use the metric calipers

Thanks, I can live with that just needed to know I will crack on with the swappy over the next week now:dance:

That's what i always though and had been told by people with alot more experience than me, but the 24 spline shaft was physically thicker than the internal diameter of the 10 spline hub bearing

bearings are exactly the same ,stub axle varies on actual length as 24 spline use narrower hubs drive members to allow more choice in wheels

i know when i used a 10 spline pinion shaft to drive a 24 spline crown wheel it howled like hell. Soon swapped it.
