the rev counter on my 300 TDi seem to be buggered it occaisionally works then nothing for long periods any ideas ?

You lot have asked and answered a similar question to the one I have, the revcounter on my 300TDi Disco under-reads now and again, sometimes corrects itself when I stomp on the right pedal.

Is it the wire going to the W terminal becoming loose? My clock loses its time every now again- same thing?

It's usually the thin wire that's sitting on your exhaust manifold slowly shorting and melting away.
