This may sound like a daft question, but what size spanner should be correct for the brake bleed nipples on my '79 Series 3?

I ask because two are almost too corroded to accurately tell, one looks newer but a different size and the forth one has been sheered off (by the previous owner!)

Thanks

7/16 often 11mm fits better you can undo with decent pair of mole grips and get new nipples or if seized new cylinders

If the cylinders are reusable, take them out, put in a vice, remove the nipples with stilsons and replace with new.

I find 11mm is usually perfect, one of my old cylinders was a 10mm no idea of the make though, have Delphi all round now and they are all 11mm
