Afternoon good people i think ive got a new problem, when driving to work thismorning i drove through a large puddle and the steering went tight like i'd lost power steering came good again a few seconds later did it again driving home only going through water, never used to happen ive recently changed my steering damper for a terriferma one it came with a crappy looking plastic protector that looks like it could fill with water and restrict steering is this possible, its a 95 disco if this helps

That makes sense wet belt slipping what a tard i am sorry for wasting time, any way to stop it apart from avoiding water rains quiet alot in cumbria

new belt and ensure it's tensioned correctly

put a new belt on mine a month or so ago... ive just had to retension it cos its stretched..... was getting exactly the same problem in puddles

Put i new belt on a couple of months ago i thought they kept themselves tensioned once they were set guess i was wrong i'll check it out as soon as i can thanks

They should keep tension on a 300, get a better damper, also check the belt to see if its gone shinny, that wont help either...
