Can i just put +2" springs and shocks on my Disco 1 without changing anything else? i would like to put 265/75/R16 tyres on and need a 2" lift to do it. Any advice please

Yes but as was said extend the brake lines also think about your prop ujs if there old the lift could **** them as well as othere things such as castor correcting radius arms
thanks for advice fellas, i was only wondering if i could get a bit more height without fitting a complete lift kit, or causing any additional wear or damage. I will deffo do the brake pipes though.

I lifted mine 11 months ago with +2" britpart yellow springs & gaz shocks that cost around £170 and I have done 10,000 miles since, including some green laning and a bit of light off roading with no problems caused by it, except for the rear anti-roll bar bushes as they did look a bit twisted when last checked, so i may well remove that altogether before the next MOT and extend the brake lines at the same time.
The doughnut is still ok and i keep then the UJ's etc well greased.
The tyres won't fit without some work, albeit pretty minor, to stop them scuffing, even with a 2" sus lift .. in my experience.
