I have removed the radiator from my 2001 td5 (long story but spigot broke off whilst being "serviced" in a independant garage, never again) anyway replacement on route via Fleabay should be here thursday. Whilst it's out anything else I should have a look at while I have plenty of access?

Have a thorough look at the auto box oil hoses leading to the oil cooler, plus the pas pipes.

Both can chafe against the block and wear right through with baaaaaad results.

Also, while you're there, clean out the inter-cooler, remove the EGR valve, clean the inlet manifold.

Check the crankshaft damper pulley for de-lamination.
