Reet then, let's get stuck in.
Freelander clutch is crap and I tow boats up slipways and the smell of frying plates is now boring.
To get the bugger to move properly you need to be crawling at 5mph on idle which I find too fast to get purchase on mud whilst towing or hauling from a standstill up an incline.
I hate Discos.
Freelanders are the right weight just miss one gear below first.......a "crawler gear" if you will.
Also F/L's were supplied with tyres which had an incorrect outer circumference causing too low gearing, misreading of speed and a "wheel-lost-in-the-arch" look. This was compounded by the then fashion for low profiles. In this case wrong profiles.
Anyway.......I like my td4 and use it for all it's worth.......I would like it with a lower gear option, which it needs. Autos address this problem to an extent by masking it.
If you want a Disco then get one, I don't. I just want a lower ratio.
