Hi waldershelf,
I made my locking tool from piece of chequer plate cut to an oblong size wide enough to drill the bolting holes going into pully,
long enough to sit squarely ontop of chassis rails.
even found new hi tensile caphead bolts in my old "ex engineers" tool box.
works a treat.
I used small angle grinder and very slim cutting discs bought from a car paint & panel centre, I by them by the box, works out about £1 each disc, but good quality, much better than the thicker steel type cutting discs.
Would that be for a 200tdi? I think the 300tdi one needs to be a bit more complicated because the pulley/damper is dished. The locking tool for a 300tdi needs a deeper section to get to the bolts before the long section that holds against the chassis leg. The one in the expensive kit linked to earlier in the thread looks like a 300tdi holding tool.
