Ever since if fitted new cables a few years ago ,I keep threatening to cut 15mm off the cable spring on the drum end. They're just too long and stop the shoes from opening properly. I am going to attempt it in the next week. :blah::blah::blah:

Let us know how you get on, please? :)

That I more than agree on there are lots of good aspects that the gov do but there are some sockingly bad ones to.

Take one lad I know a double amputee so where do they put him to live in a high rise flat untill he gets his own place sorted with his incurance money.

Speaks volumes

CB40,

Don't know how many REEMS use the site but I rather suspect that there are lots of serving and ex-forces on here. At the run last year there was only three people using the landyzone allocated camping lane yet, I'm sure, that loads of people turned up. I've paid up and will be using the allocated camping lane.

Who else will be there?

Not wanting to duplicate the original "Convoy" thread,

Take a look at the 'just booked my place for convoy for heroes' thread, as I think the OP features a list, as members confirm their attendance intentions....

Anyone else out there with connections to the REME, and are you going to Convoy for Heroes this year? (2012).

Cheers, in anticipation. Mike

My old man was in the REME, but he's really quite old now so I don't suppose he'll be there.

It was my Father who was in the R.E.M.E., now sadly deceased, and when he was de-mobbed he he worked for Land Rover in the Service Training School at Solihull, so I feel I have a double reason to pop along.

Why not 'dust' your old Dad off, and bring him along?...
