I assume they arent, only bought this defender two weeks ago but i was under it today and noticed the bottom part of the front dampers are loose, the bolt is not tightened upto the hub. same on both sides, i can actually wobble the shocks with my hand, i assume this isnt right but why would it be like this? Same on both sides

Another case of DPO or in this case RPO.

dumb and retarded previous owner.

Feel lucky you checked :-/

Well i jacked it up and got me head in the wheelwell, seems one side is complete, other side is missing a rubber so i proceed to tighten the bottom nut, almost broke my finger with the mole grips snapping but got the stillys on the shock and nipped up bottom nut, turns out i wasnt nipping the nut up at all, the bit that protrudes out the botom by the axle is deformed and bent now, lucky it didnt snap, what do you reckon lads, new shock time ? :( ****in skint.

Yeh ****in farmer jack forgot to tighten the bolt the ****. :) Then again, no wonder he left em loose they are fooked.

I see they can be had for £30 a pair on fleabay, anyone using these budget ones, how do they fare? Tar.
