Mr Noisy

Coming in your ears.
Hello

My Disco needs a rear axle repair or a replacement casing.

Would rather replace with something younger than 20 years old!

I don't need anything but the case, which is the part which usually gets weighed in so I'd be happy with paying 20 quid or so for a bang tidy one with thick metal on it.

Anyway, let us know of you've got a good one available please.

Can strip it myself or will buy complete if necessary blah blah blah.

Thanks, Sam 07818044463

Righto, that's a ****ter then. Can get around it of course but it's not ideal.

Come to think of it yeah you're right cos I remember one of the shanks sticks in the caliper on the offside on mine, so yeah threads are in axle for sure. Bah :(

Might change my mind then and get some new brackets for mine.

Got a few folk to speak to tomorrow regards getting a solid 10 spline case!

Thanks JM :)

Ah right that's good to know, was thinking that sizes were similar and would not be able to change the thread.

I guess that metric bolts are a fine pitch M10, perhaps 1.25?

Ok James no probs can easily get a tap for new bolts.

thanks for part number also, invaluable as usual :)

no .drill out your old caliper to fit new metric bolt shank, threads in case dont touch that
