Ok bought a PU-9837A off of fleabay, I knew that the display wasn't working, I can see that the LED's are not working (the display is back lit by 2 LED's), but before I spend a fortune sending away for 'repair' I thought I would replace them myself (I am not totally useless contrary to my wife's thinking) problem is that I can't get a hold of the LED's anyone got any Idea where I can get them (yes I have tried Maplins, they have LED's but not suitable) I believe that I need 8v 105ma clear bulbs, or has someone got a knackered unit that they are willing to sell me cheap for parts? Thanks in advance for any info

8 volt 105ma clear bulbs? Sounds more like a filament bulb than an LED:confused:
Even ultra bright white LED's only need 3.8 volts max unless they have a series resistor fitted, even then 105ma is unlikely. A 12,000mcd white LED, that's very bright, draws 30ma max. You sure they are LED's?
